Valentine’s Day the Italian-wine way!
Ok, so these ideas might be a bit crazy,
….but you’re a bit crazy about him/her, aren’t you?
Or else why the Chianti would you plan on celebrating Valentine’s Day with them?
Are you looking to show this person just how good V Day with you can get? Then listen up:
Passion + Creativity = ‘Passiontivity’!
You’ve got the passion. Allow Italian wine to add the creativity. Here are a couple of ideas to help you plan a V Day made in grape heaven!
PASSIONATELY-CREATIVE IDEA 1
Soak in a wine bath together – rose petals, candles, bubbles, unscented/slightly-scented oils, a plate of chocolate on the side, and finally, the pièce de résistance:
Pour in a Glass of Aromatic Italian Wine.
You won’t want to get out!
PASSIONATELY-CREATIVE IDEA 2
Paint your lover in the nude. Yes. In the nude! Except for the glass of Pinot Grigio they’ll be holding!
What you’ll need:
- a canvas with a black background.
- white paint
- deep red Italian wine of your choice
- and your lover, of course
Mix some of the red wine with the white paint to achieve different shades of red.
Then start painting!
PASSIONATELY-CREATIVE IDEA 3
Why not skip dinner and go straight to dessert?
(…if you must have dinner, have Spaghetti Bolognese. Eating it can be messy. Messy means you both have to jump back into the bath to clean yourselves up!)
For dessert, try sliced mangoes soaked for a few hours in the Italian wine of your choice. For that extra kick, soak them overnight the night before. If you want to give the mangoes an orangey-red colour, use red wine, otherwise use white.
Drain the juice and boil it down to a syrupy consistency, then spoon some of the syrup over the mango. Top the mango with mascarpone cream, and dust over with dark chocolate.
And there you have it! Three ideas. Two hearts. And one great night.
Have a great Valentine’s Day!
