Veneto Wines

This region is located at the northeast part of Italy and the climate of this place has variation though nowhere is in extreme point. That means this region is neither very chilled in winter nor it is scorching hot in summer. The soil is rocky and majorly made of alluvial soil. The grapes of this region are of both red and white variety and A1 in quality. Among the major brands Rondinella, Negrara, Cabernet Sauvignon, Corvina, Merlot, Pinot Nero, and Roboso are very popular brands and in white category Trebbiano di Soave, Prosecco, Tocai, Garganega, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco are mention worthy.

Veneto is one of the regions known as "tre venezie", and this is the third largest region of Italy in wine production. Veneto is made of two sub regions. The first one is a delta shaped area. The soil of this place is extremely fertile and many vineyards are located here.

Three DOC-DOCGs are available in Veneto: Recioto di Soave, Bardolino Superiore, and Soave Superiore. Also twenty DOC-DOCGs are available in this place that includes Valpolicella, Soave (non-superior), Bianca di Custoza, Bagnoli di Sopra, Breganzi, San Martino della Battaglia, Lugana, Gamballera, Lessini Durello, Montello/Colli Asolani, Lison-Pramaggiore, Bianca di Custoza, Piave, Bardolino (non-superior etc.

The wine Bardolino is produced from the red grapes called Rondinella, Molinara, Corvina Veronese. It is as same as Valpolicella, but the grapes are used in different proportions. Also the grapes used in this wine making are grown in different regions.
